About Margo

Margo Ross is a Reiki Master Teacher, a mentor, author, founder and pastor for LEWA, Light & Energy Workers Association (non-denominational clergy for a variety of services). Currently, Margo continues teaching monthly Reiki classes, mentors private clients, holds workshops, officiates wedding ceremonies, writes articles for periodicals and resides at Cedar Haven on the Dan, a 53-acres spiritual sanctuary and retreat center in Danville, Virginia. In the past, Margo held many human service occupations such as high school teacher, college teacher, Big Brothers Big Sisters case manager, job coach for adults with autism, retail manager, complaints department manager, nanny, secretary & waitress.

Born in North Carolina in 1967, Margo began using her subtle but strong awareness gifts spontaneously as a child, hearing other's thoughts, feelings, and guardian angels and assuming everyone did it, too. But by age 8, rude awakenings let her realize it wasn’t so. Therefore, she repressed those gifts to dormancy. Very aware that she was "different" but remaining compassionate in nature, she learned to be analytical too. In her twenties after graduating from Appalachian State University with a BS in English with minors in education and psychology, she met others like herself and learned more about her special gifts and insights that were re-emerging. She bought a private session with Allen Cunningham the renowned radio, television & police psychic. Allene compared Margo’s growing abilities to massive interstellar "radio" antennas picking up signals & information from all over our universe, inside & out. Later, Margo journeyed with modern shamans, met her own power animals (totems), and gathered much ethereal Guidance. She learned meditation, hired gifted readers for more guidance, and reads the works of clinical psychologist, Dr. Doreen Virtue, physician-turned-mystic Dr. Miguel Ruiz, Jesus of Nazareth, the Dalai Lama, yogis & others.

In her early thirties, Margo recognized a strong calling to heal, teach, and lead others. Often, other mystics and intuitive folks sought her support, healing, and guidance to grow on their own profound journeys (many of their comments on her influence can be read on Your Insights). In 2001 she completed first and second degrees for Usui Reiki System of Energy Medicine. Then, she earned her Reiki Master Teacher degree in 2003 and began teaching Reiki. Since, more than 170 Reiki students have enjoyed the benefits of her diverse work, teachings, & empowering ways. In that same year, Margo also returned home to family in North Carolina from teaching English in Japan and opened these Indigo Answers services to the public. She later opened LEWA and Journey of the Spirit discussion gatherings in 2005 in response to requests by clients, colleagues, and others. There, she hosted showings of spiritual cinema films such at "Indigo" and "Celestine Prophesy" and "The Secret." LEWA since evolved to be a healthy group of clergy who represent a wide variety of spiritual paths with related services.

In her forties, Margo co-founded Cedar Haven on the Dan in Danville Virginia with Shelly Bostic, LCSW. She volunteers her time and services to the community there. She also writes non-fiction articles for local and national periodicals and occasionally mentors clients. She is also a godmother to 3 beautiful youths, below.
