WHAT IS USUI REIKI?

It's an ancient Tibetan method of touch therapy. Reiki is also described as a hands-on healing technique and art that promotes and supports the body's own mechanisms to heal itself. Reiki restores balance on physical, mental, and emotional levels for any living thing. It came to the West more than 6,000 years ago through Japanese culture.

A Reiki practitioner moves an unlimited supply of 'life force energy' through the client as needed. Once a person is attuned to Reiki, is a permanent gift which never leaves the practitioner.

Features of a Reiki treatment or session:

• A one-way flow of balancing, calming energy, from practitioner to client
• Only use is to promote healing and improve quality of life
• Supports medical treatments and all religious beliefs without conflict
• Never violates anyone's free will, it does not flow for those who don't want it
• Can be given any time to anyone
• It is extremely pleasant and relaxing
• The energy is not coming from the practitioner, rather s/he is a trained "transmitter"

What is Life Force Energy?

It is the natural energy which flows through all things that supports and heals life, and energetically connects us to all other things in the Universe. Scientists often detect it as a form of molecular light. It is also a part of the Human Energy Field. Other names for it are:

• Ki by the Japanese

• Bioplasmic energy by the Russian Bioinformation Institute of Popov Scientific Society

What Does Reiki Actually do to my Body?

A Reiki treatment concentrates the flow of this natural energy for the purpose of healing. Everyone has seven main chakras in her/his body. This system does many things for us, but a main one is they act as "valves" allowing one's own life force energy to flow upward through the body. This is healthy! Reiki sends extra energy directly to the chakras for the purpose of opening them. Once open, the life force energy (which does the actual healing) can flow freely and naturally. Then, a client's body can balance itself, function better, and begin healing itself.

Reiki is very safe, self-regulated, no prerequisites, no drug side effects, quick, cheap, and universally available to all humans at any time. Legal practice of Reiki in North Carolina only requires certification at any of the 4 levels by a certified Reiki Master Teacher (North Carolina 1998 general statute law Article 36 § 90-624 Exemption #7).
